The North Hills Girls Cross Country Team, which were also the 2011 WPIAL Team Cross Country Champion, were recognized by the Pittsburgh County Council at their December meeting. Presenting the citations to the team was Councilman Matt Drozd. Mr. Drozd is also a former school board member of the North Hills School District.

The Athletic and Activity Department has spearheaded two drives to help those in need during the holiday season One is the Toys for Tots Campaign sponsored by Childrens Hospital. The second drive benefits the Food Bank which operates out of Hiland Presbyerian Church. The response from the schools and community has been outstanding.
